The "Good Luck Beijing" Sport Events are a "warm-up" and rehearsal for the 2008 Olympic Games. From July 2007 to May 2008, over 10,000 sportsmen and sportswomen from different parts of the world will compete in 42 events.

The 2007 Junior World Wrestling Championships, one of the "Good Luck Beijing" Sport events, will be held at the China Agricultural University Gymnasium from August 21 to 26. The construction of the venue began on September 15, 2005 and was completed on June 6, 2006. With a floor space of 13,900 square meters, the gymnasium has a seating capacity of 8,200, including 6,000 fixed seats. The venue was delivered for use on August 18, 2007 as one of the first Olympic venues withinuniversities in Beijing.

According to the organizers, the championships have attracted over 600 wrestlers from 60 countries and regions to compete for 24 gold medals. Host China will send 24 wrestlers for all the events. Also, as an important part of the "Good Luck Beijing" series, the championships will involve over 50 FILA officials and 100 FILA technical officials.

Up to now, about 600 tickets including 300-400 for the opening ceremony have been sold. It is expected that with the progress and extensive media coverage of the event, more and more people will be drawn to this tournament, which is a top-class event in world junior wrestling.
