In the first day of women's freestyle of the "Good Luck Beijing" 2007 Junior World Wrestling Championships, the Chinese women team showed their formidable strength. Chinese wrestlers did well in the women's freestyle wrestling 44kg, 51kg, 59kg and 67kg eliminations this morning, three of them entered the final of 44kg, 59kg and 67kg.

Chinese women's team showed their formidable strength in this Championships. Because they hadn't participated in the 2006 Junior World Wrestling Championships in Guatemala, they were quite "unbeknown" to the other teams.

The four wrestlers for today's competition are Lei Jingling in the 44kg,Li Xiao in the 51kg, Li Songni in the 59kg and Zhang Fengliu in the 67kg. In today's eliminations, Chinese wrestlers got to the finals respectively except Li Xiao in the 51kg.

The first women's wrestling gold medal will be decided in the 44kg final this evening, in which Chinese wrestler Lei Jingling will meet Russian wrestler Elena Gnatenko.

Lei Jingling said:"It is not so important to get the gold medal in the final, what we need is training. I don't wresting here for myself but for my people and motherland."
