Russian Natalya Laushkina, in the women's 67kg freestyle final of the "Good Luck Beijing" Junior World Wrestling Championships, foiled China's Zhang Fengliu's effort to win the title.

In the first period of the bout, Natalya Laushkina first won 3 points and China's Zhang cut the deficit to 3-1. In the second period, Zhang made frequent attacks but was reluctant to score due to the wonderful defense of the Russian. Laushkina won the round 5-1, claiming the gold.

In the match vying for the bronze, Weberg of Sweden took on Kvyatkovska of Ukraine. The tall Swedish wrestler took the first period 3-1 and never gave opportunity to her rival in the second before securing the victory.

Achirbat of Mongolia gained the other bronze medal.
