Mongolian Dashpuntsag Tulga came from nowhere to beat Ohan Gikinyan of Armenia in the final of the men's 50kg freestyle of the "Good Luck Beijing" 2007 Junior World Wrestling Championships today.

Dashpuntsag Tulga, in the semifinals of the event, defeated Ahmet Peker of Turkey who won the gold last year.

The Mongolian first scored two points and used an inside crotch-hold to lead 4-0 after the first period.

Ohan Gikinyan rallied to win the second 2-0 but failed to keep his form in the third with Tulga winning 10-2 the decisive period.

In the bronze decider, Davit Berzmishvili of Georgia took on Zhong Tengxi, China's only wrestler entering today's final phase.

Zhong pushed his opponent out for one point winning the first period. But the Georgian came from behind to win the second 6-3. Lack of strength saw Zhong reluctant to hold on in the third period.

The other bronze went to Ahmet Peker of Turkey.
