In the final of the men's 55kg freestyle of the "Good Luck Beijing" 2007 Junior World Wrestling Championships, Otarsultanov of Russia gained an easy win of 2-0 over Sezar Akgul of Turkey.

As the champion of the 2006 World Junior Championships, Otarsultanov won the 2007 wrestling World Cup.

Otarsultanov started strong to lead 3-0 after the first period and maintained his superiority in the second to win the gold.

In the bronze-medal match, German Tim Schleicher outscored Zhumagazhiyev of Kazakstan in two periods to win the bronze.

The other bronze went to Aref Alizadaeh of Iran.
