The "Good Luck Beijing" Junior World Wrestling Championships were drawing to an end on August 26. In the men's freestyle 66kg fina, Nurlan Jenkins of the United States maintained a strong momentum to beat his Turkish opponent Okay Koksal and win the gold medal, which was also the first men's gold medal for the USA at the ongoing Junior World Championships.

During the final bout Nurlan Jenkins took the initiative and meant to use up all his opponent's strength with his powerful attacks. When he finally clinched the match after two periods the American wrestler became very excited and began to dance in the middle of the ring.

In the bronze-medal match between Iran's Dadashpour and Kazakhstan's Bekzhanov, the Iranian made quick of the first period with three points and continued to outscore his Kazakhstanian opponent in the second to take the bronze.
The other bronze medal went to Yun-Seok Lee of KOR.
