On the last day of the "Good Luck Beijing" 2007 Junior World Wrestling Championships, Russia's Bakhtiyar Akhmedov beat Azarshakib from Iran 2-0 to claim the much coveted title in the men's freestyle 120kg.

After two periods of close fighting with his Iranian opponent, Bakhtiyar Akhmedov attributed his win to the painstaking efforts he had made in previous training. "As a saying goes, the more ploughing and weeding the better the crop," he said, meaning that he would have never succeeded in winning the championship without sweating it out in the gym.

Commenting on the six-day tournament, Bakhtiyar Akhmedov, winner of the 2007 European Junior Wrestling Championships, said that he had had a very pleasant stay here in Beijing, thanks to the thoughtful arrangements and hospitality of the local organizers.
