A grand opening ceremony of the 2007 Junior World Wrestling Championships was held this evening at the China Agricultural University Gymnasium in Beijing. Attending the opening ceremony were Liu Qi, Secretary of the Beijing Municipal CPC Committee and President of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG), Chen Zhili, State Councilor, Liu Peng, Director of the General Administration of Sport (GASC) and GASC deputy director Cui Dalin.
