In the men's 60kg freestyle final of the "Good Luck Beijing" 2007 Junior World Wrestling Championships today, defending champion Mehdi Taghavi of Iran defeated Redzep Ismail of Bulgaria to win the gold.

Both wrestlers had won four games before the final was held.

In the first round, the two were too cautious to fight and coin tossing was used. The Iranian took the opportunity to push his rival out and won.

In the second, the Bulgarian played more aggresively but still lost the period 2-0.

Khosbayar of Mongolia faced Aslan Dokhov of Russia in the third place fight of the event. Each of them scored 2 points in the first round but it was the Mongolian, who scored later to win the period.

Dokhov erupted in the second round as he made the Mongolian down on the ground and used brige-rolling scoring 6 points to finish the period.

Khosbayar grasped the opportunity in the third to clinch the medal.

Jabrayil Hasanov of Azerbaijan won the other bronze.
