The men's freestyle competition of the "Good Luck Beijing" 2007 Junior World Wrestling Championship kicked off on August 25, in the 74kg final, the Russian wrestler Denis Tsargush won an easy victory as expected to clinch the gold medal.

The 74kg bronze competition was between the Georgian wrestler Gocha Lomtatidze and the Japanese wrestler Sohsuke Takatani. At the very beginning, the Japanese wrestler got the upper hand, but the Georgian wrestler won three straight points at the last moment to beat his opponent 7-5. In the second round, the competition once got into a seesaw, but the Japanese wrestler made some technical errors, at last, this round finished 5-5, the referee judged the Georgian wrestler won the bronze medal. Another bronze went to the Azerbaijan wrestler Agil Guliyev.
